Visitors, What Should You Expect?

Attending For The First Time
What is worship like?
Every church has its own style of worship. We think you’ll enjoy the services at Fender, there is a nice blend between singing traditional hymns of worship and contemporary worship special's.

How should I dress?
You might wonder how you are expected to dress at a church you’ve never visited before. Since the Bible presents no dress code, except for simple decency and Christian humility, Fender Chapel doesn't make any rules either. On any Sunday at our church you may see running shoes and heels, jeans and suits, open collars and ties. Honestly, we are a pretty laid back and casual group. Pastor Kyle typically preaches in dress slacks and a long sleeve dress shirt tucked in.

What translation of the bible do you use?
Pastor Kyle preaches out of the NASB (New American Standard Bible) and occasionally the NKJV (New King James Version). You are welcome to use any translation that you like!

How long is service?
Our services begin at 11 am and end at 12 pm. This is the schedule 99% of the time, but there are rare times when the pastor will preach a few minutes longer.

What about the offering?“When will they take the offering?” “How will it be collected?” “How much am I expected to give?” “Do they want visitors to contribute too?”  As our guest and a non-member we do not expect you to contribute! Nor, do we want to pressure you too! If you are feeling led to give at our church as a visitor, feel free.

What about my children?
As a church, we always have a nursery available. We do love for children 5 and up to worship with their parents as well! A couple times a month, we offer children's church during service at the beginning. Also, every Sunday there is Sunday School for children!
